Abstrak

Kekristenan belum menjangkau seluruh bagian dunia, oleh karena itu perlu adanya kontekstualisasi Injil ke seluruh penjuru dunia. Memahami bagaimana Injil harus diberitakan dalam konteksnya membutuhkan pendekatan khusus. Namun, penelitian tentang pendekatan spesifik konteks untuk tujuan misi masih terbatas. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan metode pendekatan baru dalam misi serta memberikan pemahaman baru tentang misi. Data yang disajikan berdasarkan studi literatur dan disesuaikan dengan pendekatan analisis naratif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Paulus menunjukkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang budaya dan agama di Athena, dengan mengakui keragaman dewa-dewa dan tradisi filosofisnya. Ia menggunakan referensi budaya, seperti mezbah untuk “Allah yang tidak dikenal” dan cara berbicara orang Yunani untuk membangun hubungan dengan para pendengarnya dalam Kisah Para Rasul 17:16-34. Artikel ini memberikan bagaimana penginjilan seharusnya dilakukan melalui “perkawinan” budaya dengan penyebaran Injil seperti memberikan metode baru pendekatan induktif, kontekstualisasi pengajaran yang relevan dan khotbah yang dialogis dan berkesinambungan, sehingga proses misi dapat berjalan efektif.
